This session relaunches the Charting the Course for Compliance Series for 2026 with a focus on one of the most significant implementation challenges under the Making Conservation a California Way of Life regulation: addressing large CII landscapes served by Mixed Use Meters (MUMs). The regulation requires suppliers to transition these connections to Dedicated Irrigation Meters (DIMs) or implement approved in-lieu technologies capable of identifying outdoor irrigation use separately from indoor demand.

The webinar will review the regulatory expectations around the MUM-to-DIM transition, discuss practical implementation considerations, and introduce vendors developing technologies that may help agencies estimate or identify outdoor watering. Participants will hear how these tools work, where they may fit within compliance strategies, and what agencies should consider when evaluating alternative approaches for managing and measuring large landscape irrigation.
