Trainings

CalWEP partners with member agencies and industry leaders to deliver practical, high-quality water efficiency trainings throughout California. From landscape professionals and plumbers to hospitality and healthcare facility staff, our programs provide participants with the knowledge and tools they need to improve water efficiency while supporting local conservation goals.

Working alongside our members, CalWEP offers turnkey training opportunities that can be hosted in communities across the state, including:

  • Qualified Water Efficiency Landscaper (QWEL): Turnkey trainings that help landscape professionals earn EPA WaterSense certification while advancing water-efficient landscape design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Leak Repair Elite: Developed in partnership with IAPMO, this program equips plumbers with the skills to identify and repair water leaks in homes and businesses.
  • Water + Energy Connection: No-cost trainings for hotels, commercial kitchens, and medical facilities, offered in partnership with SoCalGas to help facilities improve both water and energy efficiency.

Interested in bringing a training to your community? Contact CalWEP’s Events and Training Manager, Cristina Saldaña, to learn more about hosting a program in your area.
