EPA WaterSense H2Otel Recruitment Rally

Monday, January 26, 2015

EPA WaterSense is excited to continue the H2Otel Challenge through 2015! EPA launched the WaterSense H2Otel Challenge in February 2014 to encourage hotels to ACT: assess water use and savings opportunities, change products or processes to incorporate best management practices, and track their water-saving progress and achievements.

WaterSense needs help spreading the word about the H2Otel Challenge and is counting on our partners to encourage hotel customers in their service area to implement water efficiency best management practices. WaterSense is hosting a Recruiting Rally from February 1 to June 1, 2015 to incentivize this outreach. Any organization or individual can recruit hotels to sign up for WaterSense's H2Otel Challenge, but only WaterSense promotional partners are eligible to earn a top recruiter prize.

You can sign up now to recruit hotels and to access helpful recruitment materials on our partner website. To learn more, visit the H2Otel Challenge page!

Friday, January 23, 2015

For thousands of years, city planners have engineered water into submission — think aqueducts.

"That's really the core of modern water infrastructure," says David Sedlak, the author of Water 4.0. "It's the ancient idea that the Romans gave us. Collecting water somewhere on the outskirts of the city, sending it with gravity into the city, and then when we're done with it, we put it back underground in a sewer and send on its way."
