Water Loss Audit II (Data Validity) Workshops

Published on Tuesday, August 04, 2015

The Council in partnership with DWR is holding 8-10 water loss workshops around California between September 2015 and March 2016. The target audience for these one-day hands-on workshops is agencies who have already completed the basic water audit course. The classes will be taught by Reinhard Sturm and Kate Gasner from Water Systems Optimization.

Class objectives are to train workshop participants in advanced water audit concepts including the AWWA Free System Water Audit Software (v5) taught at a non-beginner level; effective data validation practices; and how to develop a detailed action plan to improve agency data validation processes. This will be a great opportunity to improve your water audit knowledge, learn more about data validity, and better prepare water audit data for the new UWMP reporting requirements.  Attendees will be eligible for up to six continuing education contact hours for Distribution and Treatment certifications.

The workshops are partly funded through the California Department of Water Resources and you do not need to be Council member attend the workshops. Class size will be limited to 20 attendees. All California water agencies are welcome to register one or more attendees. A priority seating policy will be applied to any workshops that fill and have a wait-list (back-order). The Council also plans to hold a series of short webinars that cover the same content for those who cannot attend the workshops in person.

Visit the Water Audit II (data validity) Workshop page for details on priority seating, workshop topics, and location details.  Please visit the Council's new Store to register.  For current Water Loss resources including news updates, reporting information, and other training opportunities please visit cuwcc.org/water-loss.
